When I used to watch late-night tv, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno was my favorite show. I was surprised to hear that he is being so ill-treated by NBC as they prepare for Conan O'brien to take over the show in 2009. This seems very unfair to me since Jay has been at the helm of the top late-night talk show for 15 years. This is just another example of the "throw away" society we live in. Once you have served your purpose you are not valued as highly.

I think Jay Leno did a great job taking over from a legend and it is a shame they are treating him bad. I admit I prefer David Letterman and Conan but it sure isn't the way they should treat Jay after all these loyal years. It seems to me loyalty just doesn't mean as much any more.

I am not surprised. It was rumored that David Letterman was to take over when Johnny left ,but they gave it to Jay Leno. And NBC is losing money and they are letting go of a lot of the local news people here in my area so I am not surprised that they would treat Jay badly.

Where did you hear that Jay Leno was being ill treated?Unless NBC television is upset with him for being the number one late night show which makes no sense.
I think it's a mistake for NBC to give Conan O'brien the show. They will lose audience share real quick like when they do that and put David Letterman right back on top at CBS television.
Conan suc*s!! He may have been a wonderful writer for Saturday Night Live but that doesn't make him a good host.
