My daughter is 26 months now and we've started potty training this month. She will pee in the potty sometimes but only when I put her on it. She will not tell me yet when she wants to pee. She will tell me to poop after the fact. I've read that sometimes the way to go is to let them go bare bottom but this is NOT an option for me because we rent a carpeted apartment. The pull-up diapers with cooling sensation are not working either. What other options do I have? Or is she not just ready yet?

My son is 28 months old and I also started potty training him not too long ago. I find that it is easier for him to get to the potty on time and to pee in it if I let him go bare bottom . Of course accidents happen. I have had to mop up the floor a couple of times already. there are days when he just wants to wear his diapers. I guess he may not be all that ready yet.
