Does anyone have a cat with digestive issues? | | | | My cat (he's two) pukes a lot! It's so disgusting. I just switched his food to Purina Naturals, and that helps a little, but he's puked three times in the two weeks since we switched. I know if I take him to the vet they will run massive amounts of expensive tests and end up putting him on some prescription food. He doesn't seem to be uncomfortable or sick. I think he either has a sensitive stomach or he eats too fast. Just wondering if anyone found anything that helps their cat. | | | | | | | | | | Ask a Cat Vet Online Now 8 Veterinarians Are Online! | | Hi ktroth, i have a 3 three year old cat who was having the same problem as yours. i did take her to the vet. he did a simple blood test and determined that she had a bacteria in her intestines which was causing her vomiting. he put her on a simple antibiotic that i had to give her once a day for three days. after that we had no more problems and she had such a better appetite. all together with the vet visit, blood test, and medicine, i was only out $45. i know it's according to where you live as to the prices of vet expenses. if you really care about him you might want to consider taking him to get checked out. the bacteria that my cat had, the vet said that if i hadn't brought him in, he would have died within a week or two as it spread to other organs. also if you have other animals, what ever is wrong with your cat might spread to them too. just my opinion though.i hope he gets to feeling better soon. | | | | | | | | | | Local Coupons 1 ridiculously huge coupon a day. | | Well I think you should take him to the Vet - because if you think his sickness is "disgusting" I'm sure he doesn't feel too happy about it either. Chances are, he does just have a sensitive stomach and need special foods or a bland diet, but the only way to make sure is to run those tests. One of my cats survived leukaemia as a kitten, and as a result of that he has a very sensitive stomach and is constantly on prescription food - but to me, I love him, so the money is not an issue. After all - surely if you love the cat, then spending money on tests to keep him fit and well, is part of your responsibility as a good pet owner? | | | | | | | | | | cat health Find cat health Online. | | Your cat pukes..and it normal ....and three times in two weeks ..is not something bad. Cats in the wild eat Grass to help with the swallowing of their own hair. So go to the Petshop ..or local animal food shop ..and ask for CAT grass ..or something ...in my country the animal shops sell little bags of grass seeds specially treated.you just put the grass in a pot or something ..water it ..and in 2-3 days ...you have grass ...just pull it from there ...and give it to the cat ...it will eat it, and will help it's digestion A lot !! regards from Romania | | | | | | | | | | Cat Litter Box Liners Fastest, Easiest Way to Remove Cat Litter. | | I work for a lady that has a cat that was doing this. She did end up taking her to the vet, and it wasn't too expincive, 200.00 dollars, and the vet said she had a virus. They ended up puting the cat on an antibiotic and a nausea med. It worked, but they also put her on perscription food just until the meds were gone. Anyway the point I am trying to make is if you go to the vet, you don't have to see them to get the prescription food. You can just walk in and buy it like at the store. It is made by purina I do believe and it is strictly for cats with digestive problems. It comes in canned form and in dry, so depending on what you feed her it shouldn't be more than 15.00 a bag. Use this for a while and see if it helps, if it doesn't then I would deffinately see the vet and see if there is something wrong with her. | | | | | | | | | | Frontline Plus Flea&Tick Flea season is here, Enjoy Great Savings! | | I read all the other comments before posting my own, so I wanted to thank you for some advice I will use too! I'm definitely going to try that car grass, I've seen it advertised but I never tried it. I would like to second...or third or fourth, whatever...the suggestion to take your cat to the vet if it persists. Cats do tend to vomit hairballs now and then, and I think that happens sometimes no matter what you do but better safe than sorry! Also, there are various hairball formula "treats" for cats, mine loved the Pounce brand but they're also quite high in calories and I'm tryng to get both my kitties to lose some weight. I've found a great cat food online, I'd be happy to send you the link for it. It's formulated by a vet and you can actually call her and ask her questions about it or your pet's individual needs. This company was never involved in any of the recent recalls and they use NO ingredients from China and none of the harmful ingredients that I discovered most of the other brands use, both the premium and the generic, store-brands. On the website you can get a comparison with any other brand you give your pet, you can compare ingredients, nutrients, calories and cost. It's also a good online business opportunity if that would interest you.
