Follow Your Dream And Don't Quit  |

 Some time ago I got two coffee mugs in my 99 cent store, that had what I think are beautiful sayings on them.. This is one of them and I like to share it with you:
FOLLOW YOUR DREAM
..." Follow your dream wherever it leads
Don't be distracted by less worthy needs
Shelter it, nourish it, help it to grow
Let your heart hold it down deep where dreams go.
Follow your dream, pursue it with haste;
Life is too precious, too fleeing to waste...
Be faithful, by loyal, then all your life through
the dream that you follow will keep coming true..."
Here is the saying on the other mug, called Don't Quit
DON'T QUIT:
"...When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don't quit.
Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit...
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit!..."
I haven't a clue who wrote these wonderful words, but I just love them. If anyone knows who wrote these two poems I'd love to know!!

I don't know who wrote them, they almost look like lyrics from a song.

As for "Don't Quit", which I think should be posted in every high school in the country, its author is unknown. Whoever wrote it should have claimed it, because it is very motivational. | |

It is great that you put them out there for others to read...they have always been an inspiration to me...and it would be great to have them on coffee cups. I agree with Craftcatcher...what a great way to put a positive start to the day. You sure are keeping on with your 'raising the frequency and turning up the volume' on your dream power.
