Follow Your Dream And Don't Quit

Well, I don't know who wrote it.
The wodings are great.

But, I will say something that perhaps you won't like.
Don't take anything from outside,
any inspiration you take from outside, actually, makes you a person who needs a support to stand. You r strong enough, just go, nothing can happen to u.

Wow! i am like in a time machine, i have not read this verses for decades! I remember buying cards and posters during the 80's having these verses on it, i cant remember who wrote it but i remember it's a hallmark maybe by amanda bradley or the famous ANNONYMOUS!LOL. thanks for this one because it reminds me to move forward and never give up.

True, one should not lose touch with his or her dreams. I have the dream of stopping work with 60 years old, then its enough slavery for that office and bosses. I try to save up to bridge the 7 years from 60 to when I can retire and claim cash with 67 years old.
True, we dont do many things other couples take for granted, like going on vacations or buying clothes or gadgets all the time. But we know what we save up for and its really worthwhile.

wow that was beautiful,and you so right always follow your dreams and never give up,because eventually they will come true if you have alot of patience,and be very consistant.i know this from experience.when i was 10 years old i always told my mom that i will be a hairstylist like her and i will have my own hair salon,well i did become one and i have been doing it for 15 years now and i owned my own salon 4 years ago,and i had it for 7 years,but then my partner was moving,and i was moving and i got married and had my babies so we sold it,but it was something i dreamed of and i did make it come true.hopefully i hoping to have another one in the next year or so,well take care and god bless you too for your great achievments.pattie

I don't know who wrote these poems, pyewacket, but they really carry a message for us all. So often we will defer our dreams or give them up entirely. Anyone who is thinking of doing either, should read these poems. I believe in the old saying that where there's life, there's hope. We should never, ever give up on our dreams because it is, in essence, giving up on ourselves.

Both poems are great with lots of wisdom. I love Follow your dream. Don't quit is one that I've heard before as it was quite familiar. Maybe it was something that went the rounds of email or something.

As for Follow Your Dream, various and sundry poems have that title (or Follow Your Dreams--plural) but I haven't found the particular version you have quoted. I do know it wasn't Helen Steiner Rice nor Amanda Bradley nor Rainer Maria Rilke... all popular inspirational versifiers, whose works often end up on cards and such, sometimes uncredited.
