Do you remember Hootie & the Blowfish?  

Their second album sucked bigtime, IMO, but I was really enjoying the flashback last night.
Hold My Hand, Only Wanna Be With You & Let Her Cry will always be good no matter what happened after.
...same thing happened with Pearl Jam, the first album rocked & they have sucked eggs ever since.

I like many types of music, but I must say that Alan Jackson once made my ears bleed. I got that stupid Little Bitty song stuck in my head once & it took days of listening to lots of genres to get it unstuck...I do still like Bubba Shot the Jukebox & The Chattahoochie, but don't tell anyone, lol.

Some country songs will do that ot you and give you an ear worm ( a song stuck in your head)...

I like Josh Turners cover of Firecracker, he nails it, but of course Bon Jovi looks at home on the country music scene with Jennifer Nettles singing Who Says you can't go home..

And of course we have our cross overs to rock and rock has been crossing more into country too, look at Cheryl Crow and Kid Rock with their song pictures

The latest I've liked in country is that Shelton boy that sings the Ole Red song. He's good.

Country is a fairly new discovery for me (within the last 10-15 years) since it was not allowed in my parents' home, lol, but I like many songs that I have no idea who sings them unless the DJ tells me among Garth, John Michael Montgomery, the Dixie Chicks (gotta love Goodbye Earl), Winona's No One Else on Earth and that Boot Scootin' Boogie...oh yeah, and David Allen Coe has some pretty funny ones too.

Bon Jovi broke my heart when I saw/heard the live version of Dead or Alive done country style with that blonde girl...ruined a great rock tune, but I can't say I didn't see his cross over coming years ago when he did the soundtrack to Young Guns.

I'm not much for remakes, but the country artists' tribute to the Eagles back in the 90s was an awesome album. They did a bang-up job on that one.

Ya got me thinking.
I wonder what Bon Jovi's next tour is going to be like.
That'll be a trip if it comes down to a concert full of people with the big 80s hair (yep, like mine) and the leather bit banging their heads to a country version of Bon Jovi. If it works out that way, I'll be rolling on the lawn...of course, the hubs & I will have a blast either way.

It's all good.
I've been taking a lot of heat around here for blasting that song last night. The hubs has been calling me "Fruity & the Blowhards" ever since (sssshhh, he still thinks he's funny, lol).
