When I saw in the news that Chief Engeland visited the Philippines, I can't help but reminsce the time when the Philippines beat the USA in Jones Cup finals, to emerge as the champion. Yes, there were Jeff Moore, Engeland and Stills, all naturalized Filipinos from the USA in the team, but its the heroics of Samboy Lim and Alan Caidic who finished them off in the overtime.

Sports is not that supported in the philippines. Yeah, There's PBA and we concur that basketball is the main sport in the Philippines. but still, Basketball doesn't have anough support given like England, Spain, and Italy giving support to their main sport, which is Football.
There are lots of basketball talent in the Philippines, but some end up doing other things than concentrating on the sport.
With enough support, right development of players, and a lot of determination is given, we can have the best talent there is. making Philippine history once again with the use of sports.
