Are you willing to buy a second-hand product?

I have bought two second-hand items from ebay. One is a second-hand HP laptop and another one is a sony handycam HDR-HC3 HDV 1080i. The price are less than the half of the brand new one and quality is amazing good. Buying more with less is alway exciting. For the second-hand product with less than 1 year usage, the condition should be still good and it is cost effective to get one.

I've bought many things used and am very pleased. Last year I bought two Lexmark laser printers from different vendors on e-bay, an Optra S-1655 and Optra S-2450 for 10% each of what they cost new. The 1655 is in use at my office under industrial conditions and the 2450 network printer I use at home.

You got a good price for the printers. The price of the sony handycam I got is about 40% of the price of a new one and I am already satisfied with the price. For the products from IT industy, their price drops rapidly. It's good to use the most recent product with a better price by getting a second-hand one.

I have done that too, my laptop is also second hand and it was well worth what I paid for it, it was as good as new when I got it.
I also buy used books quite a lot as they are cheaper and when I guess I will read a book once and not a second or third time in the future why should I pay more for it.
