Cookie went to the head of the adoption group to be prepped to go to her new home.
I know 23 still is a lot, but at least its down from 26 at the beginning of last week & down from 28 at the first of the year.
That's 5 to new homes & the kittens have gone to the kitten expert, and Pearl has also gotten an app on her too.
If I can get down to 21 I'll probably back off from pushing the adoptions so hard, this is hard work! And the 2 black cats probably won't be going in Oct.

Oh, you mean you actually find homes for the ones that you take? I can't do it, once I get one, it becomes mine for life. lol I can never bear to trust them with another person. I just got done building a barn, at least 3 times the size of the previous one, because I wanted to make sure they had all the room they need. They love this new one, and I am so glad. It is so nice to see them happy. Congrats on finding yours homes, and take care.

Well, 19 are permanate kitties, only 4 more to find homes for. I'm kindda attached to 2 of those - the 2 5 yr old black cats, they are very sweet, and one gives massages!
We started 2006 with 19, one looking for a home, right after & got one more right after that. It was the 8 that came in between Halloween and New Years that made it urgent to find homes for some of them. We had the 2 kittens come in since June, but the kitten lady took those girls.
So, 5 to new homes, 6 if Pearl goes too. But we are 6 cats out of the house & down to 23

Well, good luck to you, and the kittys. By the way, I love the photo of your kittys, they remind me of some of mine.

Wow. That's a lot of cats! And I thought my seven were a lot! lol I applaud you though for being such an animal lover! That's great! However be careful on who takes your cats because not everyone will be good to them. A lot of people like kittens and then once they grow up they lose interest. It's wrong to be like that because a pet is a pet for life not when it's convienent for them.

Fact is, that this group screens applicants very well and is why I've been working with them. Secondly, most of the cat's I've placed have been adults, or well on the way. Pearl, now with the kitten person, is the first baby I've had. So, I know that these people know they aren't getting kittens, they are getting cats.

I think what you do is awesome work...Its sometimes hard to get good homes,a lot of people want kittens and puppies instead of grown dogs and cats...My neice brought her Dad(my brother) a lovely little dog but she was older and she was sweet, but my brother could not get attached because he wanted one he could raise...I have a dog and a cat but they are not little babies but the dog is a very small dog and my cat is so sweet, but i would never if at all possible get myself in a place to have to get rid of them, they are like my family, and i know that no one would love them like i do..I think you have done great however in placing these pets..It sometimes takes time to find the right person..
