|  Ok so i got this email from my friend Miah,,There is a new FAD hitting the good ol' USA and im sure other countries..and HEY if so! let me know I would love to hear about it!! anyways..its called CARVING.,.YES..U HEARD IT..its not ink tatoos..they carve your skin offfff,,yes offf in designs that u want!! omg! when i saw these i ablout died!! and i literally felt her pain! the first FEW PICS ARE NOT FOR THE WEKS AT HEART..but the last 3 are what it looks like after it heals..talk to me..would you?> Could you? HAVE YOU?? omg..i cant take my eyes away!!!lol..

| |  Oh my gosh! I think that is absolutly disgusting. I didn't even like normal ink tattos! I mean for myself, it's fine if other people wanted them. But now this! I can't believe anyone would want to go through this and do this to themselves! Ink tatoos work fine, this is just...icky!!

I don't have any tatoo. I don't mind people having tatoos. But I think that large tatoos are not looking good. exaggeration is not good in this case.

| |  If what you are referring to is 'scarification', then yeah, it's been around but not a very popular trend in the U.S.(till now, i guess!) Other cultures do perform these acts as a right of passage, usually men into adulthood. I did see one show on Nat. Geo. that showed a culture of people who began this 'procedure' on boys as young as 5 -? And in some other cultures, the people are literally covered almost head-to-toe with scars from these intentional cuts. Whatever floats your boat!

And having the need to hurt themselves, and their flesh carved off...Too much really, and I would never ever thing to mutilate myself this way...and if I ever would I hope there will be enough sane people arround that will try to stop me from doing it ;)

I dont' know. Here we are worried about the "cutting" phenomenon and somebody comes along and wants to make it popular and arty. Sheesh.
