Lock Your Doors! |
|
Recently a Houston Texan football player was tied up and robbed in his own home. He lives in an exclusive gated community where a lot of athletes and high profile people live. The robbers apparently had been following him for a while so they knew when he would be home. They apparently got in through an unlocked door. This should be a wake up call to us. If a rich person like this with all the bells and whistles of security at his house and neighborhood can be harmed, we need to be even more careful. So be sure to lock yuor doors all the time. 1. texasclassygal (3445) | 1 year ago | This has been the topic of the week in our house, especially since I work at home. But if you look further into it there is something not right about it. Like when he was finally able to break free from being tied up with duck tape he didn't call the police he called the Texans security office, so why did he do that. There is something more to this than we are seeing. related resource: home security

jillmalitz (2790) | 1 year ago | You have a very good point, my friend. I does look a little odd. I too wondered why he did not call the police. And how did these people know which door was unlocked? Did they try them all? Aren't most of these expensive homes equiped with Security Systems? Thanks.

texasclassygal (3445) | 1 year ago | Not only did they have to know what door was unlocked they also had to get through a locked Security Gates for the community, funny, how this is the first time there has been a break-in like this in this community and they only stole jewelry, so how did they know where the jewelry was?? Seems like an inside job to me!!

3. lkbooi (4748) | 1 year ago | It is very kind of you to remind us to lock our doors for our own safety. Undesirable incidence always happens when we tend to be negligent due to over confidence and indifferent attitude. Your story of the robbery could clearly tell us a fact. People living in highly developed urban areas rarely mix with neighbors around and therefore know very little of their neighborhood. Those robbers understand this and often play psychological tricks to disguise themselves as visitors and break into the house without any fear of being noticed by the neighbors. More over residents in the exclusive gated areas seldom mind other’s business and therefore very often we couldn’t get any urgent assistance from neighbors in time. I always make sure that I lock all the doors before going to bed. Thanks again, friend, have a peaceful night.
