Petre Marin is a Romanian football player; he plays as a left side defender. He started football when he was 7 years and a half as a goalkeeper for Sportul Studentesc. He became a field player after a footsal tournament when he broke his hand and decided to quit goalkeeping. For 10 years he played at FC National with a 6 months break when he played for Rapid Bucuresti. At FC National, Petre Marin played against Valencia and AC Milan. When he got an offer to play for Steaua Bucuresti he immediately accepted saying: "Steaua cannot be refused". He started playing for the National Team on 27 mai 2004, Irlanda - Romania (1-0). Honors with Steaua: UEFA Cup semifinal, 2 Romanian Championships and a Romania Supercup.
