G, it seems you have great wisdom and life experience for one so young and are learning to work smart. I am so happy to see this, as I have travelled the road ahead the hard way, so to speak. What you are writing here, is so very valuable to all of us. One must keep you spirit, no matter what, for without faith and hope, which comprises a strong spirit, and bright as you say, there is a very dark road ahead. My Irish Mother gave me this empowering phrase, years ago..The End of the Road is Just a Bend in The Road. It has stayed with me for all these years and I often think of it when I need it. What empowers me is to think of my Mother. Also music and the spoken verse inspires and moves and uplifts me. A world without music to me is dead. I have been in many a controlled environment, and have overcome with great tenacity, but you know, the power of love is the most uplifting experience, I believe I have ever known. Love to me is empowering, be it your friends, in particular, your like-minded Sistahs, for me, my Son gives me empowerment by his words and love. I do think also what is empowering, and I agree with you, the power of beauty. Now that is not to say what one person thinks is beautiful will do for all of us. What I mean is to make the most of one's assets and realise that since your discussion is focused on women, what we can do with our world to make it beautiful and powerful and each one of us can hold the key to inspiration for the other. Hey, I love your topic so much, I believe it should be a CLUB LOL!

Good for you! *smiles* For me, I think it's only my belief. The belief in myself. I feel super good most of the time (except mood swing when my belief doesn't want to come out to live) because I believe in me! It might sound a little intangible but it really is. I remember one time when I was in uni, a friend came by and asked me, "how could you dress so nicely even in a white shirt?" And I was joking back, "why not?" *laughs*. I am not saying that I have the best body or whatever. But I think it's the confidence there which makes the difference! People don't believe in themselves don't have that charm! Feeling good and be confident in yourself is the best weapon in a woman! *laughs* Girl Power!

I like knowing when I have learned something new that I am able to do it. I am about to learn knitting and I am looking forward to it to be honest. I like knowing I can get stuff done.

Every time I learn something new, a new skill, or go somewhere on my own, out of town, away from home. Accepting various new challenges makes me feel empowered. Owning up to my own feelings and stating them, before I reach a melt down stage makes me feel empowered. I do not have to whine, cry or pout, just state the facts, say what I have to say, and get on with it. Isn't it great. I do not have to have another half to survive, I like being an equal partner, though.
