The party season is nearly here and I love to wear glitter in my hair and on my face. However, I get real problems as the glitter finds its way into my eyes.
Does anyone know how you can make the glitter stay where you want it to stay?

oh lol, yes I WOULD believe it!
I still use it as I like it and it distracts people from actually looking at ME believe it or not, but the darned stuff does tend to migrate.

I don't mind it near the eyes, it is when the wretched stuff gets into my eyes that I complain a lot!

Get the glitter that comes in a spray for hair and arms.
Glitter in nail varnish seems to make it last longer, cover with a layer of clear.
Glitter in eyeshadows, maascaras is best avoided unless you really never touch near your eyes.
Avon does some lovely glitter make-up very reasonably.
Use those roll on glitter sticks, they're good too.
Whatever you do, do not buy glitter and throw it over your head, it will not stay on and will leave a beautiful trail that will never come out of your carpets. I used to have a dark green dining room carpet with a fantastic patteren where I'd glitter glued with the kids and 3 years later I still saw the odd bit of glitter, the carpet has gone now, but it was a nice way to brighten it up, lol.

oh ha ha we are soul mates. Yup, I tend to get the stuff everywhere AND I have stopped throwing the stuff over my head lol.
I shall see if I can buy a spray and see if it behaves any better. My last attempt was a perfumed cream with glitter but the stuff still went everywhere as soon as the cream dried! I did smell nice though :-)

I've not had this problem. I think it also depends on the brand that you use. try to get recommendations for those that doesn't have the glitter flying around so much?
I use lip gloss with a little bit of glitter. and the spray on glitter for hair can be done with a piece of paper covering your eyes. all the best!

There is glitter base that you can use that will form a slightly sticky surface for glitter to stick to. It is sold at Sephora (or was) and other places. They have an eyelid primer that holds glitter on the lids and a body spray (I think) that makes the skin just a touch tacky so you can apply glitter and it won't end up everywhere.
I don't wear it (except in some body powders) but my sister does and I will ask her what she uses to keep it in place. She looks awesome when she does it and it never travels to her eyes.

Did your sister tell you the secret of making glitter stay put? I still get the stuff absolutely everywhere!
