I need a wheelchair accessible minivan and I am looking for ideas.

My twenty year old wheelchair accessible minivan broke and cannot be fixed. I cannot use my electric wheelchair or leave my house. My disability is deteriorating because I cannot use my equipment. I cannot work and I don't have the money to replace it. A series of people and companies have promised me a van and then it turns out to be untrue. People are very cold and heartless when it is not them. I have tried everything I can think of to replace my van and I am looking for creative ideas on how I could raise the money to replace my wheelchair accessible minivan and regain the independence and functionality I have always had. Please, no sick jokes or nasty comments.

How terrible...

Some ideas that come to my mind:
Contact high school and vo tech shop teachers - a lot of them build cars - they might be able to adapt one or help you get one
Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts - See if you can partner with them to raise $$$
Churches and local companies looking for advertising might be interested as well...
Try getting the press involved - contact all of your news stations & newspapers
Have you checked your states welfare & health pages?
Could you partner with someone to start a non-profit organization to get yourself a van and also help others in a similar situation??
Depending on your disability - check on sites relevant to that to see if they have groups that help.
Above all, pray. Saint Anthony always helps me get what i'm looking for!!!

i realized after i posted the question was over 4 months old...but i am glad i was able to help...it may not be no one cared to answer...i think a lot of questions on here get buried...but your question must've jumped out at me for a reason :)...and i am serious about saint anthony!! it never hurts to call people and ask...if you can't call, look them up on online yellow pages and send emails...good luck!
