The Weekly Review: You got Vanessa "Gabriela" Anne Hudgens pulling a Britney with her photos, acting like a s!ut and "somehow" making its way onto the Net...and Disney took no action! (Claiming just a "lapse of judgment") /// You have a 15-year old kid near where I live (Houston, TX), that stole a car and went with five other teens (ages 12-15) joy riding and crashed head-on smack dab into a PARKED train on the tracks and killed all but one other person in the car, getting out of juvi today and acting all cool about it in his ripped jeans and muscle shirt (go to Chron.com to check out the pic) and the parents are all on the teen's side and have the gaul to blame the TRAIN PERSONNEL!!! Hey, parents of the kids, it's called k-a-r-m-a. /// Then you have teen drivers here near where I live in the 'burbs (mainly White...spoiled...party/frat/beer types...drive new cars that they didn't pay a dime for...etc.) that are driving like idiots. /// Speaking of which, Nick Hogan (Bollea) was interviewed a little while back for a magazine boasting that he gets off with just Warnings whenever he gets stopped b/c he's Hulk's son...and now look what happened...k-a-r-m-a. /// Oh, and let's not forget the oh-so prestigious honor that our county (Harris Co. in Texas) holds for being the **#1 COUNTY IN THE NATION WITH THE LARGEST UNDERAGE/TEEN DRINKING PROBLEM** /// And is this post ironic if I'm 17 (o...k...18 in one month) and typing this? ///

It isn't what happened to teens it is all kids the displine has stopped because you have the state all over you if you spank them or if you ground them its neglect so the state is what happen if the government would allow parents to have control to punish the child right then instead of having to think about how you can do it without losing them,I feel for the parents I have 4 kids and I never laid a hand on mine but we had the order things were going to be done in.I used all I could with it being with in reason and parents today don't want to see the same generation gap they went through themselves.Have a great day.

It's a media problem, not a teen problem. I've never met anybody like the people mentioned above. Almost everybody I know has an 80+ average, works relatively hard and plays hard, but not stupid. Yes, teens drink etc., but most of the time we don't do anything stupid after we get drunk. The only reason a problem seems to exist is that nobody publishes articles about 'local teens get drunk, chill out, go home to sleep.' And of course with all the bad teens on the news, parents think it's okay for their kids to act stupid because at least they're not stealing cars etc. It isn't! Many kids do great at school, are involved with sports, volunteer, work part-time, maintain healthy relationships, etc. all at the same time!

It gets worse every year. Just wait till we live like the Jetsons and have flying cars and such. You'll have kids crashing into trees and houses and stuff! Well... I mean, I guess they do that now, but it'll be the SECOND floor and the Top of the tree! ha ha. I think it's all about how the kid was raised. Learn to respect the world you live in, other people and yourself and you're more likely to do it.
