Diabetes

OMG i hope not!!!cuz im suspecting my mom is diabetic and ill pray shes not!but to avoid any disease just the balance diet. eat more fruits and vegetables, drink lots of water,thats my opinion.

I got diabetes too. I'm 36 yrs old and this disease has newly been diagnosed me 2 months ago. I don't think diabetes can be healed but it can be cared of.
The main problem is there are complications such as atherosclerosis and neuropathies, kidney and eye progressive impairment.
In the end there is a sort of accelerated growing old.
The first thing to know is what kind of diabetes the patient has, because if it is insuline dependent the life expectance is poorer.
If your father has the so called insuline/independent diabetes, that is to say the also called alimentary diabetes, the first thing to do is to follow a diet, as I do, and avoiding sweet foods and so on [as I not always do...], and, if necessary take oral hypoglicemizing drugs.
Diabetes is a familial disease in the sense that if your parents had it, it is more probable that you can have got it, but not surely, just as a chance, a general predisposition.
