What kind is your favorite?Weddings, portraits of 1 person, children.Do you have alot and show them off by putting them in a design on your wall?I love to collect them and have quite a few throughout my home on the walls in old picture frames that i find at sales. They are mostly ones that i buy from dealers. This one i found very cute and only paid $5.00 can.for.The little children are so cute in their now antique clothes.:)

I'm still a film user photographer, and my specialty is black and white photography as I can develop my own film and prints...I think I like to think of myself following in the tradition of late photographer Ansel Adams...did you know just one of his photos is worth over $50,000??? Yeesh! I have a vast array of my own black and white prints that I've done over the years and are hanging up all over the place. As for a collection of older photos...I have several old glass and tin type photographs of my distant ancestors...perhaps my great-great grandparents time...the clothing worn looks like something right out of the Civil War period...the amazing thing, is that is proves black and white photography is so much more stable than color, as those photos look the same and are in perfect condition as the day they were done...

Photo of one of my ancestors - photo of my ancestor
Okay--back now...hehe...I only scanned a few photos...thought you'd get a kick out of this one... Who the heck it is I have no idea...Unfortunately, when I would ask my grandmother or mother who the pictures of they hadn't a clue....this might be my grandmother's brother, Eddie dressed up in a costume and taken around 1906????

wow, this is really impressive. i love antique pictures and stuff, it's so nostalgic and also amazingly peaceful i feel, just seeing the uncrowded roads of years gone by or a few people posing for a pic long ago, thoughts like "what was on their mind then"? what could be happening around them? etc etc come to the mind. it's all very amazing.
