Congratulations! The most important thing is for your wife to take care of herself and to get good prenatal care. A lot of women in their forties are having successful pregnancies these days. :-)

If your wife is getting medical care you should probably just relax and be happy about having a baby. The doctor will watch for any complications. Even though your wife may be at a little higher risk for some things, in general she's likely to be fine. So is the baby.
