popularity of watercolor

well i like water color since its what we usually used when im still at school and that was during our art session ...

I have painted with watercolor, acrylic and oil. I like watercolor because of the light quality of it. It takes layers to dark (working light to dark). I can also do quicker paintings with it. But I enjoy painting in oils (dark layers to lighter colors). I find it more forgiving and you can layer and wipe for interesting effects. I like the smell too. ;)

I do paint at times.I just use only the water color.You got to have great control over them.Or else the colors tend to seep into the other ones and may spoil the whole effect.I do not use any other medium.Water color is my favorite.

My hubby likes to paint with water color. According to him it is quite convenient to do because it uses water medium. The effect of transparency is rather unique and attractive and this couldn’t be seen in other media like oil painting.

I like watercolor. Its tricky not to get blotches, but watercolor is pretty cool nonetheless. There is also oil and acrylic painting and I like those as well.

Watercolor is very good because it reflects light beautifully. It should have that accidental, messy look, not a very detailed picture like that in oil paintings.

I love working with watercolors, even though I'm not very good with them yet! XD I usually make illustrations in black waterproof ink first, and then add colors with watercolor pencils. Apart from that I've only really tried to paint with acrylics, but I'd really like to get better at most mediums when it comes to art.

First, I do not paint:P I draw some but just with a pancil and crayons xD With that being said here's my opinion on watercolor. I like them. They always give a picture kind of delicacy and I like how the colors melt one into another *_*
