It's sad that he died. Maybe he was being sarcastic.

I didn't hear about it until just now, but that is indicative of how out of touch a lot of celebrities are.

Yet they always have some political or social agenda that they are trying to push, and a lot of people believe everything they say because they are on TV and therefore couldn't possibly be wrong.

I didn't catch the interview. But if it's true that would be sad.

It is unfortunately a symptom of society where folks are so caught up with their own day to day affairs of life that they cannot take the time to stop and look around themselves. People are many times just to busy to look around at what's happening in the world.

And it's not like to the former days where news took days and weeks to travel to you. Now it's nearly instant. So people really are without excuse.

I hope the comments of Brolin aren't true. That would be callous indeed.

I think brolin is getting senile to a degree...A lot of things he says don't make sense but i think it is some type of a health issue,rather than an uncaring thing...He has lapses and stuff...I think he has been like this for some time,but it has not been made public as yet....I really don't think he meant that ,he probably realized what he said afetr the fact,and what else could he do but laugh after that stupid statement...He could have confessed about his condition ,but i suppose he took the easy way out...

I did not see this nor have i heards about it untill now it just goes to show you how some folks just live in a box of there own little world!

He probably didn't lose anyone in that tragedy. Busy people maybe tend to forget, or put bad stuff away and not think about it anymore. He probably wasn't trying to be a smart alack at all. It doesn't sound good though does it, when you hear something that sounds like they don't care. Wow! You'd think the rich and famous people would have a heart for others... maybe they do.. and we just don't see it.

Wow! I didn't see the interview or hear about it until now - but that's crazy! Some people are just absolutely clueless and live in their own little bubble. I wonder if he caught on at all after the show?

I heard the interview on the news. When they first mentioned it in a teaser before a commercial break, I thought it was going to be something that was taken out of context and that maybe he said it sarcastically, and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt before passing judgment. Then I heard the interview. The DJ reminded him that today (9/11/2007) was the anniversary of a day of horrific tragedy (my words), and Brolin's response was "Oh, right... Happy 9/11!" And he said it in the same tone one would say "Happy Birthday" to an acquaintance. And then there was silence, so Brolin commented on the silence. The DJ responded with a bit of shock in his voice, and Brolin carried on as if he hadn't said anything offensive at all. It was downright bizarre, disappointing, and even disgusting.

It sounds like his wife has rubbed off on him.
