What hotel/resort in las vegas do you think is best for a family vacation?

Vegas is not really a place for family with small children. Food and entertainment are too expensive. Most casinos won't let them hang around more than 30 seconds. If you want family fun, go to Orlando instead.

I have to agree with the suggestion of Circus Circus and Excalibur. Those are pretty much the only family friendly hotels on the strip. If you don't mind being a little ways from the action, across the street from Hard Rock Casino is a place called Alexis Park Resort. They are also suitable for families and business people. The rooms are nice and cabs are easy to get from there. I stayed there last time while I was on business with my dad. The only problem I had with it was it was further down the strip a bit removed from all the action. We always had to take a cab or walk across the street to Hard Rock.
