BB King. How much longer do you think he will tour?  |

|  I have seen BB King in concert several times now - once solo, and twice as a part of a blues review with several additional acts preceding. Now in his eighties, he has not ever lost his touch musically, or personality wise. It is apparent, however, if you see him off stage or just before getting on stage that diabetes, longevity, and the demanding schedule have taken its toll.
Firstly, I recommend to anyone, whether you are a fan or not to see BB King live. He is truly a national treasure, not to mention a virtuoso of blues. His shows are extremely entertaining and you have to not have a pulse to not have a good time.
However, my question is - do you think he is the type of person where his work was such a part of his life that he will be on tour for the rest of his life? Or do you think there will be a day when he decides to retire? There are many accounts of folks who have a love affair with their life's work that they never stop and rest until their last day on earth. He seems to be one of them.

| |  BB is a blues icon. I am a big blues fan and, of course, a big fan of BB. I have seen a lot of blues musicians who have played right up till the hurse pulls up to the door, I think BB is one of these. I think he will be playing untill he can't play anymore. I had the honor of seeing Son Seal's last performance. He had to be helped on and off the stage, but he still put on an awesome show. I think BB will be like him.

| |  I have seen BB King several times as well. Once was just recently. At 82 he didn't miss a beat. It was a thoroughly entertaining evening.
To answer your question, I can't imagine him ever retiring. I believe he will be entertaining until the day he dies. An amazing man!

| |  Personally when you talk about BB King you are talking about a legend and one of the best out there. I have always enjoyed listening to him and his music. Have never been to a concert, but anytime I have a chance to listen to his music it is a pleasure indeed. I think we will never quit hearing or enjoying his music even when he is long gone.
