Detroit - Best Place to See Strange Landmarks? Can you think of more?

One of the things that sticks out in my mind the most about the landscape of Detroit is the quirky landmarks.
The Uniroyal Tire is the most obvious attention getter. People may forget that the "skeleton" is a giant ferris wheel from a World's Fair that no one knew what to do with. At that point in time, it was the world's largest. The "tire" went over several makeovers over the years. For example, they updated the style of the hubcap. Also, there was a nail sticking out of it as advertisement. The subject has come up many times of 86'ing the tire but people are very sentimental for it. Personally, I think the tire is great.
And of course there is the giant Joe Louis fist in the middle of the city which was another odd one.
And of course Tyree Guyton's work in Heidelberg Park. All the polkadotness.
I think compared to things you might see in California, there is a grassroots air to many of these things, and people are much more sentimental over them.
What landmarks or attractions do you think are quirky, strange, or just plain wouldn't have existed for so long anywhere else? You can include the greater metro area as well.
