or just think it is wasting time? I assort trash while my mum did teach me that.We always had a box for paper, plastic bax for platic stuff and basket for organic stuff like shell and leftovers. It makes pretty sense to me to assort the trash but it makes me mad that I still don't see not enough trash can.

Hi there. Actually, we have different containers, these being "Plastics, Cans, Glass and what not... We just throw our assorted trash in these various bins, then the recycling truck comes around on a monday morning to collect everyones sorted trash for recycling... In new zealand, our town is known as New Zealands 100% Pure... Its really great because the whole town has this very habit, to wipe out waste in landfill, another words zer0 waste...

We don't have a recycling program where we live. We do save aluminum cans though. I try to buy biodegradable things though. But that isn't always possible.

We don't have it either here, but I am trying to do at least something on my own.I ask why there is no garbage can for plastic, paper, and so and the answer was, it brings people work.So we put eveything together and then were they take garbage there some people who assort it.But isn't it dobble work?It is ridiculos to me.

Though that kind of system is not introduced here, we have been doing it like plastic seaparate, glass separte, vegetable left outs separate, non-biodegrdable items separate. It is really redious to do such things. one has to keep 3 to 4 dustbins at home. Somehow we are managing it so far so good.

For this one I don't assort trash, always in lump. But a good discipline to have your mum says and practices. :::michael:::
