For those of you who were forced to take Algebra in school

Have you ever found yourself using it in everyday life? I know I sure haven't. Maybe if I worked for NASA or something.

Again, please give an example of when you specifically used something you learned in algebra class. If I see it, I might recognize how I'm using it.

Yes! I use algebra when I am modifying a recipe for something I am cooking. I also use algebra when I am painting, or taking pictures with my camera. I use algebra when I decorate a room, or a piece of art. I also use algebra when I am designing websites.

I guess maybe I'm just not recognizing it. I mean, I know I'm using geometry on a regular basis. But, I don't see anything really related to algrebra or even calculus. Give me an example.

As a matter of fact, yes! I use algebra a lot in real life! I'm amazed at how often I use it. I don't work for NASA either. LOL

In school days i liked Algebra but hated Geometry
