the worst movie adaptation of comic heros.................. | | Which movie do you think was the worst comic hero movie evr done?My personal rotten tomatoes is for Ghost Rider starring Nicholas cage as Rider. Cage was ok but the movie stinked b'coz of its shallow plot & lack of bad dudes....

| | | 2. nevaul (75) | 1 year ago | I personally liked Ghost Rider. The only problem with it was what's wrong with most first comic book gone movies made. They have to cram years worth of comic book story into one 3 hour(tops) movie. The villains didn't seem bad because there really wasn't any developement for them. In the Ghost Rider comics, Black Heart was actually much more powerful and ended up upsurping his father from the throne to hell. But that's neither here nor there and I've gone off topic. On a side note though, the only problem I had with the Ghost Rider movie is that it seemed that Ghost Rider quipped little witty one liners here and there, tried to be comical at some points. Well, Ghost Rider really, really wasn't comical, but this wasn't enough to really give me a huge problem with the movie. As far as what movie I felt was the most horrible Comic Book adaption movie made. My number 1 would have to be a direct to VHS version of the Fantastic Four movie made back in the 80's. So horrible that I won't even get into details. Suffice to say, I couldn't even get a third of the way through the movie. Second would be the first version of Punisher made starring Dolph Lungdrom(spelling?). It seemed more like a "Movie of the Week" aird at 3 in the morning. As far as the ones that have come out this last decade. I'd actually have to go with Superman Returns to be honest. I was sort of hoping they would stay a little more true to the comic book than true to the movie series made a couple decades ago when Reeve was doning the suit. To me, it's just bad to try and reinvent something that was good back then and it rarely works for me. Also, I must say that I've never seen a more scrawney Superman who's talked so little in his own movie. For that movie, I just really wished that they had tried to do a fresh take on Superman, throw something onto the screen a little new.
