Why do we read of so many aggressions made by dogs to kids?

What are the causes? There could be a role of electro-magnetic pollution and ultrasounds? Do they just feel stress as we do. Or it is a problem with us, parents, who do not take enough care of our children and let them stand undue risks? I'm wondering why, fortunately, such episodes were not so frequent when I was a child.

Maybe kids are not taught how to be nice to animals. It also depends on the type of dog. I think some dogs are just more aggressive and do not make good pets for little kids.

I think a big part of the problem is in the way the dogs are trained, or not trained, actually. Some breeds are more naturally aggressive than others, but with proper training they will not usually attack unless they are defending their territory or their owners. And too many people train them to be aggressive on purpose, they think it's cool to have a mean dog. Small children should be taught to treat dogs with respect, not to approach strange dogs, and should never be left alone with any dog.
