Last Friday... i sent her to pre-school, i didnt even notice anything wrong with her... (i feel bad about that, now)
Around 10 o'clock, she called from home.. ??..
Seems that her teacher had sent her home - saying she had chicken pox!.. Oh dear... the teachers must now think that i am an "irresponsible parent"..(to sent her to school in that condition)
Took her to the doctors - got some medicine to relieve the 'itchiness'.
In our country - we also believe coconut drink is a very good 'medicine' / remedy for chicken pox. It helps to induce the blisters to dry faster. and latest i heard... "Pandan Leave Extract" are also good remedy for Chicken Pox.
We also have 'taboos' when someone has chicken-pox...
you are not allowed to eat eggs - believed to make the blisters more itchy, not to take any (black) soy sauce - the blisters will become dark ugly spots, and will not dissapear. And the most unbelievable taboo... you are not allowed to bathe / shower - believed that your blisters would never dry off, and will take very long to recover.
I am not sure how common Chicken Pox is in your country... But do you have these kinds of 'special remedies' or taboos, that you observe ??
