When I read this I just had to share b/c it really made sense to me-what do y'all think of these tips?
It’s time for a lesson in ‘Charm School 101’. Here are 3 things you can do to gain instant likeability. This comes from Nicholas Boothman, author of the book How To Connect In Business in 90 Seconds or Less.
Look people in the eye. Boothman says looking people in the eye when they’re talking sends the message that you’re sincere. Shifting your eyes around makes people think you’re not listening to them or you’re bored. If you have trouble maintaining eye contact, Boothman suggests concentrating on a person’s eye color to stay focused.
Stay tuned in. When someone’s telling a story, make the effort to ask follow-up questions. So if your co-worker is telling you about their recent vacation, ask them about the weather, or what kind of activities they did while they were there. Follow-up questions show that you’re interested in the conversation. And when people think you’re interested in what they’re saying, they’ll instantly like you.
Drop a compliment. Boothman says genuine flattery always goes a long way, but avoid using generic compliments – make it specific towards the person you’re talking to. So, instead of saying ‘Cool shirt,’ say something like ‘The color of that shirt really compliments your eyes.’ It’ll be hard for people not to like you after such a nice compliment!

I like the way you have stated it. thanks for sharing. this will help people remember that compliments pay good dividends and that eye to eye contact is great. LOL. I remember when a friend use to practice eye to eye contact and makes fun with his eyes so I said. okay practice doing that and that will be the way you look at other peoples eyes. Did I mentioned you avatar looks very nice? Have a great day and God Bless.

Hey meme!
I'll have to look up that book. That makes a lot of sense. I also like the thing about concentrating on eye color. I have a hard time looking people in the eye for some reason...
