Have you ever won a contest of some kind?

well i have never won a contest. but you know what? that doesnt keep me from trying. i participate in lot of events. even if i dont have that talent but i still do to keep my fighting spirit alive.

Several years ago I won a cross stitch contest and won a big box of every DMC thread color including their varigated series. Talk about thrilled!! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Well when I was in school I was always winning Science Awards for some project I did...shows what a geek I was..LOL. Then many years ago I won a local photo contest. We used to have an "Elmhurst Day Celebration" and I was the staff photographer of the local Our Block Association newspaper, so later I entered one of the photos I had taken to the Local America photo contest for The Queens Ledger..I won third prize..I guess my proudest moment though was that a photo of mine that appeared on the cover of Veterinary Medicine was later cited as best magazine cover of the year--I have a copy of it hanging up in my bedroom wall along with the very first photo ever published. Here's a copy of that cover. I didn't "win" anything really from any of the contests/awards except pride in my work... :)

i have won a few contests but the one that i liked the most was an icecream eating contest, it was like about 5 years ago but it was so cute. i still like it the most. lol. smiles for my friend, apple.
