I spent last night trying to sleep with my new friend....a Cpap machine. It is a machine that is supposed to blow air into my nose so that I continually breathe during sleep. By doing this, I will keep oxygen in my body, get better sleep, feel rested, have less migraines, etc.
But, it is definitely going to take some getting use to. The machine is quiet and the mask isn't bad but I kept waking up. Anyone have any tips?

Wow, I have heard that the noise from the machine is disturbing to everyone in the room and it is difficult to sleep with the mask.
You must be a very easy going, adjustable type person.
I hope it helps you.

It makes less noise than a new fan and is smaller than a regular phone. The mask is a little weird though. It is going to take some time to get used to but I will get it done. If it can get rid of my migraines, it will be worth it.

I have been using one for several years now, and they do take a little getting used to.
Just give it a little time and keep using it, and soon you will sleep much better than have in a long time.
It took me a month or so to get used to it, and it wasn't long at all before I no longer had to use the ramp switch to when begin using it.
My wife doesn't like the mask exhaust much because it can get quite breezy for her if she is downwind, but other than that there are no real problems with it.

Actually I do have one tip that helped my mom. I am answering this right from my e-mail, so I don't know if someone has already suggested this. Try going to sleep with a neck pillow behind you. You know the ones that look almost like a donut? My mom struggled with it for a while, but then the pillow helped a lot. About 4 hours into her sleep she will turn on her side, but for the time she is on her back, it's great.
