| Favorite Portrayal of Patsy Cline  | | | |  I'm not sure how many times an actress has played the part of Patsy Cline in a movie, but off hand I can recall two actresses who played her in a movie.
Beverly D'Angelo - Coal Miner's Daughter
Jessica Lange - Sweet Dreams
I love both actresses so can't decide between the two, though I think physically Beverly D'Angelo was closer in the resemblence to Patsy Cline.
Does anyone know of other actresses who have portrayed Patsy Cline in a movie and which portrayal is your favorite?

| |  Those are the only two I can think of too, and both were good. But, because Beverly D'Angelo played her in Coal Miner's Daughter, it wasn't really her story and so there wasn't as much detail as with Jessica Lange. I think both did a fine job, I agree that D'Angelo probably looked more like her, but I give the performance to Jessica Lange. She's quite an amazing actress.

I love Jessica Lange as well, in fact she's probably the reason I loved the 76 version of King Kong. Both actresses are fabulous!
and speaking of Coal Miner's Daughter - I think Sissy Spacek was incredible as Loretta Lynn. | | | |
