National Examiner: Diet Disasters! Celebs Get Rich Selling You Diets As They pack on the pounds! This very true. If you look at Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Ferguson, Dr. Phil McGraw and Kirstie Alley, they have either tried to sell you a book, or a diet that they themselves cannot follow. Each one has gained weight from their own diets or giving up on their own diets....or one they endorse. What it all comes down to is money. What is your take on this?

None of these people are really qualified to advise other people on dieting. I've noticed Oprah has had several different people on who wrote diet books that Oprah claimed changed her life. Each time someone new comes on with a new book, and she makes those same statements, in my opinion, she loses more credibility. I don't know why I even watch those shows, but I usually watch them while eating something, so they're making me fatter for sure, and I sure won't be buying any books. My new favorite show about healthy dieting and losing weight is called "You are What You Eat" It's so much fun to watch, on BBC America. The doctor on that show puts the people on meatless, sugarless diets, and they lose a little bit of weight after 8 weeks, but they all say that they feel better and have more energy, and I just can't believe that. What's really funny is the things she makes the people on the show do.

Karennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! You hit 100/100!!!! That is so great! I have read that Dr. Phil lives in a $40 million dollar house. Please tell me what this man does to deserve so much money? Same with Oprah. One minute she is helping the poor and the next show she is talking about shoes that cost hundreds of dollars. I cannot relate to that. Even Dr. Phil was selling diet candy bars. A long time ago I saw Dr. Phil push some guy on the shoulder while talking nasty to him. That was enough for me. They also indicate on "paperwork" that they want no guests who have any mental illnesses and that the show is for entertainment purposes only.....I watch very little TV.

I was surprised that I got to 100/100, I was 99/100 for so long. Dr Phil is not a real doctor. I don't like his attitude. I have to change the channel whenever his show is on, because he irritates me. I used to like Oprah, but I've realized she favors celebrities, and she seems to have no sense of reality of how ordinary people live. The only time I watch the show now is when Dr. Oz is on, because I like him. I spend more time listening to the radio now.
