The movie or book?

I love to read the book. Books are always better I think. Your mind has to imagine that you are there at that part in the book and I have always loved it.

The book is definitely better as there's a lot left out in the movie (understandable given the books length). Also in the book there are explained in detail the changes after the war and its effect on people, there's no way they could have done that in the movie. Which doesn't mean that the movie hasn't got any charm:)

The book and the movie are both very good, in my opinion. Because of the length of the book, there is no way that everything in it can be included in the movie. I think that both are good in their own way. I would recommend watching the movie...but be aware that it lasts about four hours. I love both, but I prefer the book as it contains scenes and details that were cut from the movie.

Most books are always better than the movie, as they allow us to use or own imagination and are more detailed. This book was wonderful. However, the actors in the movie, Olivia DeHavilland, Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh, to name a few, do the book justice.
The movie is long. A good watch on a rainy day.Pull up a comfy seat, make plenty of popcorn and get a box of kleenex out. You will not be dissapointed!

ha ha;) its always movies, just spend 2 hours in front of tv or screen for reading a full book it take 2-3 days. ho horrible.

Without a thought, the book!!! Although both are great, the book truly conveys Scarlett's hard will and determination. She is a huge inspiration in the book and is portrayed as a spoiled brat in the movie. Scarlett is a women who, with her extreme faults, becomes honorable. I don't believe that was properly conveyed in the film

The book is always 1000% better than the movie version maybe because there is always time constraints when it comes to movies not to mention the fact that writers have only to rely on themselves in telling their stories while in a movie, there's the director, cinematographer, scriptwriter, individual actors that shape the story.

Both are very good. I loved the book and enjoyed the movie. I perferring reading a story first because you have your imagination to run away with the story.

The movie was good and it was well done, but hands down. I loved the book so much better. But then again, I'm more of a reader than a watcher.

I like the book much more than the movie, for it is detailed, you can experience so much sorrows and happiness, you can also enjoy the writing style and houmor in the book. If you have enough time, enjoy the book; if you is busy, then the movie is a better choice. After all, the movie is a successful one.
