How often do you get your computers serviced?

For me, my new computer is going for nearly an year..and i used to run the Antivirus program twice in a week, but no special services that i do.. Is service needed, if so, how often?

I only have my computer fixed if there is problem with it or got infected with a virus, or if I want it to be upgraded.
The worst experience I had was when my PC got infected with a virus. What a hassle, I can't connect to internet and I cannot do basically almost all operations.
But now, I used a deep freeze program that freezes it back to its default setting every time I restart the PC. Even though if it got infected, all I have to do is restart it and the virus will be gone.
And I am using kaspersky anti-virus program for additional protection.

But using the deep freeze program, carries a draw back.. it uninstalls various tool bars, and additional softwares that one would have installed. Is it so?
