Killearn Lakes in one of the Tallahassee, Leon County's biggest residential neighborhood of single family homes. There are 2070 plus single family homes in architectural styles that include mostly ranch, contemporary, but with some older styles as well. There are pine trees all over the neighborhood, with forests in the area, deer, fox, rabbits and other fauna. Homes are on the market from the $160,000 range on up to beyond $400,000. There is a price range for every buyer type it seems. The neighborhood has an absorption rate of 7 months, meaning that given the market conditions today, it will take 7 months to sell the entire inventory of homes for sale. There are currently 66 homes for sale. It is a buyer's market here. Sellers want to sell. The neighborhood is outside of the main business centers of Tallahassee, yet close Walmart, Target and Publix supermarket if you are in the south end of the long geographical community.
What attracts me to the neighborhood is the friendliness of residents, wildlife, abundant green from all the trees, and the feeling that I am in a quiet, peaceful forest.
