Can anyone tell me about her history?  | |  Basically, i not so familiar with tomb raider, after i have play the game, i totally fall into with it. but i quite concern on the tomb raider background. who create lara croft? how it introduce to the public etc...

Originally the game was created borrowing many ideas from the Indiana Jones movies and the main character in the game was a male very similar to Indiana Jones.
During product testing, it was shown that a female lead got a much stronger positive response from gamers, and so the Indiana Jone's type character was changed to Lara Croft.

| phynicen (24) | 2 years ago |  It could also me mentioned that her name was originally 'Laura Cruise' but americans couldn't pronounce Laura properly and instead said 'Lara'. When Laura was changed to Lara, Cruise was also changed to match the name properly. She then became Lara Croft.
