...Madagascar! It took Darwin several weeks to come up with his theory of evolution after landing in the Galopgus Islands. It has been said that if he had gone to Madagascar first he would have come up with it in minutes.
...80% of the species of Lemars are found on Madagascar. There is a cat like creature there called a shu fasa (sp?). It is beautiful. There are lizards, snakes, birds and plants only found there.
...The really sad part is that Madagascar is washing away into the ocean. You can see it from outer space. It is surrounded by a muddy ring. Deforestation for cooking fuel will end its uniqueness. No amount of money can save it.
...The German Black Forest would be a nice trip. Any place tropical were my man and I can play in the water and walk on the beach. Not much into shopping, but it would be ok to bring some things back for our children.
...Cool thread. Peace be with you. =(^;^)= Della

This might sound strange to you considering where you live but at the top of my life list (things to see and do before I die) is to be able to spend some time touring the UK. I'm talking about a couple weeks or maybe a month so I'd have time enough to spend in England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland. With my affection for Harry Potter, I would HAVE TO go to King's Cross and just have a lean up against the column between platforms nine and ten and see what happens.
Also, since I have a special place in my heart for all things creepy and mysterious, I would love to be able to visit Stonehenge, the Tower of London and Loch Ness. I would also like to find my way off the beaten path and get a feel for what life is like outside the big cities and tourist routes.
As a capper, though, I would want to spend at least a weekend in Basil Fawlty's home town of Torquay, maybe stay at the Gleneagles where Cleese got most of his ideas for that character. The Fawlty Towers hotel burned down years ago otherwise I'd insist on at least taking a picture outside the front door.

I would love to visit South America. I would so enjoy seeing amazing wildlife on a cruise around the unspoilt Galapagos Islands. It would be exciting to go to Peru to walk the fantastic Inca Trail. I would really love to stop off along the pretty Caribbean coastline. Thinking of Central America it would be amazing to see the rain forest and cloud forests of Costa Rica and travel through the Panama canal.
Also I would love to visit Southern Africa. Most of all I would love to visit the beautiful city of cape Town and travel along the picturesque Garden Route. It would be awesome to see the rushing white waters of the Victoria Falls. It would be great to see wild African animals. It would be so very special to go the magical island of Madagascar to see wildlife. I would like to visit Mauritius to enjoy sitting on lovely golden palm fringed beaches. It would be enjoyable to go walking on the beautiful island of Reunion.
I would adore seeing Canada, especially the stunning city of Vancouver, the Rocky Mountains and fascinating Prince Edward Island. I would enjoy seeing the interesting city of Boston in the USA and exploring pretty Cape Cod.
Other places I would love to see are the Great Wall of China, the tropical islands of the Philippines, the Golden Triangle region of India and Russia whilst riding on the Trans Siberian Railway. As you can see I really love traveling. I hope I will get to go to all these places in my lifetime.

I would love to spend a couple of weeks in South America: Mexico, Cuba or Brazil. I just love the look of the countries, they seem so colourful and full of character. Plus there's the hot sun and white sandy beaches and bright blue sea....heaven.
Holidays are just a distant dream for me at the moment though, need to save up as i want to buy a house. Looks like i'll have to make do with looking at holiday brochures and watching travel programmes for the time being!
