Firestone christmas albums

Julie Andrews did one of these Christmas albums...I have it on vinyl...it's too bad I can't find it on CD. I saw the Firestone sign in NY recently and it made me remember the albums which were made (strangely enough) by this tire company! Anyway, I hope they put all of these on CD someday...maybe Time Life will do something.

I have never heard of firestone putting out Christmas albums, while it does not surprise me that they did at one point in time,

Have you ever thought of sending a request to the company to see if they can get the rights to put these albums out on CD, I bet they would be really popular if they did.

Were they part of a special holiday promotion at the stores?

I really have no idea if they were part of a special holiday promotion at the stores or not, although that sounds plausible. I never thought to send a request to the company, I think I will try and look into doing that. That's a great suggestion!

The Julie Andrews CD "Greatest Christmas Songs" contains the tracks from her Firestone LP, plus two additional Christmas songs and, oddly enough, three non-Christmas tracks. It's only $9.98 on Amazon.
