My dog barks a lot. And she barks loud. I just moved into my mom's house which is connected to another house I am afraid that the neighbors will get fed up with all of her barking. If anybody has tried the bark collar please let me know if it worked for you or not. Or what your thoughts on this is.

I used one many years ago for a very large and very loud dog I used to have in town, and it did work for me.
He barked for just a day or two more, and then I could see him start to bark, but wouldn't.
So I know they worked in that case.
Are you talking about the sonic collar or the shock collar?
I used the sonic one.

An ultrasonic collar emits a sound that only the dog hears every time they bark.
The dog associates the noise with the barking and then learns not to bark.
It is much more humane than to use a shock collar that basically works the same way.

Hi,
Yes,Bark Collars do work but not on all the dogs.I would personally advise you not to use them because they make dogs your slave not your friend.I think you should find out why your dog barks so much and should consult a vet.Every animal could be treated with love, you know.
Have a nice day.
