It is depends on you yourself. If you deeply interested in fashion field, you should carry on. Everything has the challange.

Those words by people are your challange. You have to face it and proves to them that you can be successful. It is okay to be failed but the journey is not ended yet. It is part of your learning towards your success. To success, you have to give more efforts, more analysis failed and what you suppose to do, you need more experiences to success.

So don't give up. Don't afraid to be failed. It will teach you how to succeed.

If those peoples keeps telling you that it was a waste, then keep it in mind. Shut their mouth up with your success!

to some degree,fashion can express one's taste . everyone should look like what he is doing .if you are a white-collar, it's not a good idea to wear T-Shirt when working.
and also ,fashion can give you smart feeling which makes you more actively.
showing your expert to others is also a point that the fashion can bring to you.

Unfortunately, it's not just the fashion industry where this "it's all in who you know" strategy rises above all. Almost every industry, especially those that would be dealing with media at any time, follow that motto precisely.
This is why people are ALWAYS stressing "networking" with other people in the same industry you are looking in to.
But do not fret... you schooling DOES make a difference. And the really sad part is, is that no one really cares about people working their butts off to earn a 4-year bachelor's degree. It's about the people you meet while you're there. And of course I suppose you learn a little too ...*laughing* So, don't think of it as a waste of time. Educating yourself is ALWAYS a plus. It's the networking that most people have the hard time with....
