Wonder what the deal is with tree frogs lately

Tree Frog - Just a wee one that I saved from Tigger's teeth.

This is the 3rd one that 'rode' into the house with someone this year. I kept hearing thumping in the kitchen so went to check out what the kittens were into. I found this lil guy playing keep-a-way from Tigger near the litterbox. Took awhile to catch him but finally did and then he wiggled out of my hand onto the counter. Got a few good shots b4 he jumped onto the floor. Finally captured him again and turned him loose outside. This one is a baby at bout an inch long, not including the legs. I've seen em twice that size but no bigger.

I've got a few of those cute sneaky little fellas hanging out underneath my tub. They serenade me every morning right after I finish with my shower. The hot water running through the pipes must perk them up. I've even had one IN my tub taking a shower with me. I almost stepped on the poor little guy. Had my son catch him later and put him outside. They are just too cute.

They sure are cute and fast as lightening. They are serenading you in hopes you turn the water back on.

Gee, if you live where I do and don't have a frog come into your house, then you are considered strange! lol. You see, the Green Tree Frog of Australia is famous for coming inside and hiding in the toilet (yep, gotta check before you sit down! lol) or the bathroom. the frogs are often quite big and bright green, to the point you'd swear they'd glow in the dark. yes, frogs are certainly cute creatures! lol.

Certain frogs do indeed glow in the dark thou. Has to do with the pigmentation in their skin. As for finding one in my toliet..now you got me checking. lol

we had a baby one outside on the glass pane of the front door tonight. He was bright green and so cute. I love tree frogs. That is funny that they keep hitching rides inside. We have had a lot of rain lately and it is bringing out the really cool critters.

I've never seen a tree frog in the wild until we moved out here 7yrs ago. Scared the daylights outta me the first time I saw one. He jumped up on the railing right next to me and saw him out of the corner of my eye. I haven't seen any yet this year but I'm sure I will.

I guess this tree frog was playing a game of dare. I guess the other tree frogs told him to go into the house and see how close he can get to the kittens without them eating him. Or else you have something in the house that tree frogs like. We do not get them up here, it could be you have a pond nearby. We have trouble with birds. They see an open door and fly right in our house.

We do have a creek running along the back of our property but we are also surrounded by woods which is where they come from. We haven't had the pleasure of a feathered visitor in our house but few weeks ago we did have a squirrel sneak in and was happily eating the cat food till I spotted it and ran back out the door. lol

Aww--he's cute!! Hey don't knock it. In some legends frogs are supposed to be lucky and give one prosperity. Uh, have any money windfalls lately? LOL What did your kitties do, just stare at the frogs? Hope they weren't getting any ideas to make the frogs a midnight snack..eeekk

How I wish we had a huge money windfall right now even. Simba was in the bedroom. It was Tigger who tried to catch the poor creature. Glad I rescued him or lord knows what Tigg would of done.

I haven't seen any in my house, but I think they are so cute. I've always liked them, since I was a kid. I used to pick them up, every chance I got. I don't have the energy to chase them anymore. lol
