Baggage handling at airports

In last few months I had bitter experience with one of low cost airlines in India. when I travelled from Hyderabad to Chennai by Indigo airlines couple of months back, they have handled my luggage in careless way and paid the compensation for repair. Same thing happened again yesterday with same airline and same sector, the particular airline has again given same explanation and said sorry and given a form for compensation.I would like to know your opinion on baggage handling at indian airports. with their careless handling of baggage they are spoiling the baggage.
