Well a bit of looking back will tell you my answer.
India and Pakistan have played 21 one days in India and India have won just 6 of them and the rest were won by Pakistan.
While 30 tests have been played in India and India have won 6 Pakistan 5 and the rest were drawn.
But seeing the respective home series not much is expected from either.

I think they can defeat the Pakistan team provided BCCI selects all new boys. In my view, old boys should not be permitted at all to play now. Dhoni and his young team can make possible anything.
