...instead of just removing the clip to open it at at the right end??? Now the slices at that end are all dried up. But at least the other end is still clasped closed. Transdisc!! Was that you?? Do I need to look for your puddle to soak the dried up pieces?

Hi ChaJudLeoBit,
I've never seen the bottom of the bag ripped open, but have had the sides open before. However, mine is a disgusting reason, as I ordered groceries online, and the bag was like this when the bread came. Upon further investigation, I found 'rodent droppings and holes chewed in some of the slices.' So gross, and when I reported it, the customer service rep was nearly ill, at the thought of it. This happened more than once, and I was given a $20.00 credit on my next order. By the way, the company is no longer in business.
At least there weren't any 'bear droppings' in my bread.;)

That's pretty bad! They must have traveled in a dirty truck, or even stored overnight in a werehouse during transit. Wow, that's too bad. I can't think it would be from the company, cuz when the box is being packed, that would be pretty obvious. I just caught the 'bear droppings' coment. Haa haa haa!!! I wonder if he'll coment on this...

The customer service guy said he was going to report it to the warehouse manager. He did so, and nothing was done, so it happened to 'me' again. He then gave me the $20.00 credit, and was so apologetic. He told me that some type of rodents must've gotten into the warehouse. It never happened again, after I reported it the 2nd time.
I'm not sure if 'our friend the bear' will stop by here again. He helps to keep things interesting around here.:)

Thanks, Transdisc. The gentleman at customer service, wasn't management, but I guess I should've pursued it further. At least he gave me the $20.00 credit, after it happened the second time. It would've been nice though, if they'd have given me my next order free.
I imagine 'bear droppings' would be quite large, and very noticeable!;)
