GMA kapuso?  | |  before i continue, i just want to make it a point that i am neither a gma or abs-cbn supporter. i'm just.. thinking aloud.. c',)

i don't really qualify as a tv addict, but i've reached a certain point when i started asking.. "why are they (GMA) using such noun?".
.
GMA insists that they are one with us, the televiewers.. but if you try to observe, it shows that they are not what they're trying to say they are. in my opinion, its more of a business-sided scheme hidden in their sweet, and over-promoted ego.

how could they say they treat their televiewers equally when 60-70% of the air-time are for commercials? how can the televiewers be #1 for them when you're watching tv, you get 1 minute of show and 2 minutes of commercial?
.
another thing, though more focused on children, is their habit of showing kid shows and anime, and without running all episodes, they replace it with some lousy game show. and to take note of it, GMA is actually earning from that game show.

so with all these, i came to a conclusion: its business first before the televiewers.

I'm not much of local television fan since there are cable channels to choose from. Though I've tuned in to GMA channel from time to time to catch up with local news. I'm not much of a soap opera person since i find it a waste of time catching up with the story everyday. I find more relevant shows in the cable station so i like to watch them over local channel.

| | 2.  mikaelalexis (148) | 2 years ago |  got any comparative opinions for ABS-CBN? or should we take it as the opposite is for ABS-CBN. Bottom line, both of them depend much on advertisements. Think of a TV station without advertisements, it's no TV at all.
By the way, I love watching that fancy wrestling which neither be seen on GMA nor ABS hehehe.

personally, i don't mind the commercials. of course we all understand its a crucial part of any tv show. but too many commercials after a segment can be quite annoying. | |
