There is a guy on mylot that drives me nuts because he acts like such an authority on EVERYTHING.
He isn't on my friend list but I see him posting all over as if he's an expert on everything to do with this site. So I check and he's new but has many discussions and replies to discussions......
Anyhow, I know this is a rant but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has come across a know-it-all on this site.
It takes the fun ouf of it whenever I see a post that should be taken lightly and is meant as fun, and this guy is on there with a technical response like, according to section blah sub-section bla bla - you are not permitted bla bla bla...
It's annoying isn't it?

I do not have any. I know a lot of know-it-alls, and being inclined to be one myself, I can understand how they feel, but what drives me nuts is the people who write posts to which I can give just a short one sentence comment or two or three at the most. Come on people! I wrack my brains to give out more than a three line answer and I am sick of just going off the subject just to fill in the lines!

I'm a know-it-all too, to a certain extent, and absolutely love to debate issues. That's my number one, absoulte favourite past-time - to just sit with friends talking about things.
I've noticed most people frown upon that on social networks like this. I'm not sure why but I suspect the deletion of discussions has something to do with it.

LOL I haven't run into this one yet! I have seen some annoying people in my time here though. After a while you get so used to it you can laugh about them though. Sometimes I think newbies get a little too over zealous with responses just because they are trying so hard to help out and be liked.

I never considered that he might be trying too hard to stick to the rules and make friends by showing how smart he is. Hmmmm, again I learned something new
I'm so bad at reading people but I'm looking forward to that day when I can just laugh at this sort of thing.

Maybe some people actually have a lot of experience and knowledge on an abundance of subjects. Why in the world should something like that drive anyone crazy?

I think it bothers me becaue some of the posts are casual fun and this person takes it all far too seriously.
Like watching a comedian and having a guy in the room say how impossible that scenario would be instead of laughing at how funny it is.
I dunno! I'm serious by nature but sometimes there's things that are meant to be light hearted and fun.

Ah. I misinterpreted the discussion.
If it is a joke thread or something then I can see what you are saying. Especially if its some sort of self-appointed mylot police member -_-
