I am going to post a second picture and you will all be able to see why I enjoy this so much. Wish all of my new Mylot friends could join me on the deck for a morning cup of coffee and entertainment.

They are very young raccoons. As for the bird feeder, the large one was made for me by a friend. They log cabin one was a gift from my youngest son when we moved here. Aren't they awesome? thanks

Yes they are very nice!:)I love nature also.We have some big fat raccoons here but im starting to find them annoying because they knock all the feeders down and have a nice big buffet at night,so now i take them all down and hie them. The next day the birds are sitting there waiting, haha. They know the routine quite well. Peanutjar:)

I can totally relate to that. I have to bring the humming bird feeders in every night or they knock them down and roll them all over the deck. As beautiful and cute as they are they can be annoying. Thanks

Oh wow! How do you ever go back into the house? That is so gorgeous! Have you ever had any wildlife come up close to you? You might be able to charge money to be able to sit back there and eat and watch the beautiful nature. And the bird feeder fits in seamlessly. It's just a great place to be I imagine. LOL

The first summer we lived here we had a very large raccoon that came every night. I would set scraps out for him and he would sit right by the door and eat. We keep the screen closed and would sit on the floor and talk to him. He really acted like he understood us. LOL Sometimes he would stand up on the screen like he wanted to come in. Bob often said he would like to try feeding him by hand but I wouldn't let him. I thought that was a little to risky. We spend a lot of time out there, but if you think that is nice you should see the front yard LOL. If you can imagine we lived in a tiny 4 room half of a double for 10 years before buying this place. I am sure you can imagine how thrilled we are and how blessed we feel. Come on over any time you want and join me.

Thanks, I go out as much as I can but I have terrace doors off my dining room and I can set and watch them from there, so if the weather doesn't cooperate I can still watch them.

Like you my husband and I love to watch the birds, we also live in the country and have many birds visit our yard, im not sure how many times we have had to fill the feeders, seems like they eat non stop. my favorite tho are the humming birds and we have a lot of those, they are so gracefull, its so relaxing to have coffee on the porch and watch the birds in there busy life.

Oh yes, we have a lot of humming birds to and I love watching them. It is one of the most relaxing pastimes ever. Except for running back and forth filling the feeders. LOL Thanks for responding

Hey, actually I only live a hop, skip and a jump away...Maybe once my life slows down a bit, could meet up for the cup of coffee and enjoy the serenity that you have there.
