Is it just me, or does your hair fall out more when you are over 40? Seems I am finding my hair everywhere! I don´t understand that I still have so much hair on my head , when I see what is laying around.

My hair has been falling out since I was in my twenties and I think its because of all the treatment I had done on it years ago i.e. perming and relaxing LOL My hair has thinned out a lot over the years and I am still losing AND I'm 36 LOL

lol! I had to do that once too. I used to color my own hair and wanted to color it from blond to dark blond. It turned green!LoL! I could not get it out. While trying all kinds of things my hair turned into snot! (Excuse the expression) So I went to the hair dresser and had my hair cut to the point where I could not grab it either.LOL If I had make- up on it was oke, everyone liked the short hair. But without the make-up people would think I was a man. LOL. Though I must say, it was great to have it so short. Within 5 min my hair was dry. So easy. I would like it short again, but my boy friend does not want me to cut it off. I have the same thing, my hair is thinning out more and more. I will need to cut it off within the next 5 years. But, I am already 41. Old he, but don´t forget, life starts at 40! Believe me it does! LOL! Well, wishing you both the best. Take care.

I have a head full of thick curly hair, but it feels, looks, and manages like horse or wig hair. It falls out easily, especially when it is wet. I know that this is not suppose to be happening, but I can never tell that any is missing, so I do not worry to much about it.

Yes, that is what I think is so werd. I still have hair on my head. I don´t understand? LOL! Anyway I had that once very bad, where as I would wash my hair, and when I put the conditionier in my hair,it would be inbetween my fingers. It came off just like that. I changed the conditionier. It was less after that. Sometimes it is good to change shampoo´s and conditioniers. Take care.

Many people above 40 are not losing their hair. There is some vitamins required the hair to grow or make them strong. You should watch your diet. Eat such food having vitamins for grow of hair. The hair roots need the blood to make them grow and strong. If blood circulation is not properly reaching to the roots of your hair, then they start to become weaker and weaker and cause to break. You should use good type of shampoo and also approach to a scull specialist for advise and recommendation of medicines.

well my friend, from being a hairdresser for over 15 years now, your hair loss is normal.you are suppose to lose 100 hairs a day,i know it may sound like alot but in all reality it's really not.as you get older your hair sheds and goes through certain changes just like your body does.there is alot of stuff that makes you lose more hair and that can be stress, certain medications, lacking of vitamins, poor diet etc.this can be easily fixed.pattie
